This is me in front of the pastel and charcoal drawing I did that was accepted into the Chico Art Center’s 2014 National All Media show. The show is up now and runs through Sept. 12th. The piece is entitled “Self Portrait” and is like most everything I do these days. Expressive. Laboring painstakingly over a photographic likeness doesn’t interest me. I enjoy movement and color and line and drama. I guess that’s pretty obvious.

Like this, Renee.
I was a neighbor of yours in Marshalltown. I got a wild hair up my patoot; thinking of your sister Toni; and found your blog. I read and read; lost in my own memories. Toni was a classmate of mine.
It was a joy to remember those innocent days. We lived on Elder Drive; about half way up the block.
So “droll53” doesn’t identify you so I’m very curious who you are. And more about you. Will I remember you if I heard your name? Will Toni (probably).
